How Much Does Junk Removal Cost in Dubai?
Most junk removal in Dubai is priced by the load. A single item — a sofa, a mattress, a fridge — usually costs AED 100–150 to collect. Furniture removal runs AED 150–600. A standard one-truck load is AED 200–300, and a large load, or one booked for the same day, is AED 300–600 or more. Garden waste starts from AED 150.
No honest crew can give you an exact number from a price list alone, because access changes the work: stairs, dismantling and carry distance all count. What a price list can do is show you the real ranges, so you know when a quote sounds right and when it does not. For one exact number, send photos — your price is then fixed in writing before anyone sets off.

The price table: junk removal in Dubai
| Job | Typical price in Dubai |
|---|---|
| Single item — sofa, mattress, fridge | AED 100–150 |
| Furniture removal | AED 150–600 |
| Standard one-truck load | AED 200–300 |
| Large load, or a same-day job | AED 300–600+ |
| Garden waste, small load | From AED 150 |
Furniture removal covers a wide range because a single bed frame and a full room of wardrobes are both “furniture”. Where a job lands inside AED 150–600 depends on the number of pieces, their size, and whether they need dismantling before they fit the lift. A standard one-truck load is the size most apartment clear-outs and villa tidy-ups come to.
Garden waste is priced by volume and by the bagging work involved, in four rough tiers:
| Garden waste load | Typical price |
|---|---|
| Small — a few bags of cuttings, one palm trim | From AED 150 |
| Medium — a full tidy-up of a small villa garden | From AED 350 |
| Large — several trees cut back, soil and turf | From AED 600 |
| Extra large — a full garden clearance | From AED 800+ |
Skip hire prices in Dubai
Some jobs suit a skip better than a crew. Skip hire in Dubai is priced by size:
| Skip size | Typical price in Dubai |
|---|---|
| Small skip | AED 400–620 |
| Medium skip | AED 680–980 |
| Large skip | AED 1,050–1,500 |
| Roll-on roll-off (RoRo) skip | AED 1,700–3,700 |
A skip beats a crew when the waste comes out over several days — a renovation, a fit-out, a garden dig-out — and you have the space to place it and the hands to load it. A crew beats a skip when the job is a one-off clear-out. A skip has to be pre-registered before it can be placed, it needs clear ground to sit on while it is there, and you do all the loading yourself. A crew loads for you, sweeps up, and takes everything away in the same visit — and a standard one-truck crew load, at AED 200–300, costs less than the smallest skip on this table.
The four things that change a price
- Volume — how much there is. A single item, a room set, or a whole property: volume is the starting point of every quote, and it is why prices are quoted as ranges until photos are seen.
- Stairs or a lift. A load that rolls into a service lift is quicker work than the same load carried down six floors. Older blocks in Karama and Deira often have no goods lift at all, so tell us your floor when you message.
- Dismantling. Wardrobes, beds and wall units that will not fit the lift or the stairwell have to come apart on site. Show the piece clearly in your photos and dismantling is included in the fixed price.
- Carry distance and access. A villa driveway is a short carry. A tower flat at the far end of a corridor, with the truck parked below the loading bay, is not.
Towers add one more factor: paperwork. Many buildings need a move NOC and a separate service-lift booking before a crew can start, and in Emaar communities the NOC alone can take up to five working days. It does not change the price of the load itself, but it decides when the job can happen — so book a day or two ahead of a handover, not on the morning of it.
How to get one exact price
- Send photos on WhatsApp. Wide shots of everything that has to go, including the awkward pieces at the back. Photos are what a fixed price is built on.
- Add your area, your floor, and your Makani number if you have it. Say whether the crew gets a lift or stairs. Your Makani number helps the crew find you.
- Get one fixed price back, in writing. If the job on site matches your photos, that number does not change.
- Pay when the job is done. The crew loads, sweeps the space clean, and sends after-photos when everything is out.

The free options, honestly
Some of what you need gone can be collected free, and it is worth checking before you pay anyone.
| Option | Cost | Wait | The catch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dubai Municipality, booked on WhatsApp 800900 | Free | Around 3 days | Bulky furniture and appliances only; ground level; 5–11am except Saturday; not in some free zones |
| Charities and reuse collectors | Free | Varies | Items must be usable; broken pieces are usually refused |
| Paid crew | From AED 100–150 | Often same day | Price fixed from your photos before arrival |
Dubai Municipality collects bulky furniture and appliances free when you book on WhatsApp 800900 — the full detail is in our guide to Dubai Municipality free bulky waste collection. Charities — Beit Al Khair, Dar Al Ber, Dubai Cares and the Emirates Red Crescent — take furniture and household items that someone else can use, and some will collect from your home. Old electronics have a free route of their own: under the Municipality’s agreement with Enviroserve, residents can arrange free home collection of e-waste through the Municipality.
A warning about very cheap quotes
If one quote comes in far below every other, ask where the load goes. Proper disposal costs money: reusable items are offered to donation, metal, wood and electronics are sorted for recycling, construction debris moves only with Waste Transfer Notes on RASID-registered transport, and the rest goes to facilities approved by Dubai Municipality. A crew that skips those costs can undercut everyone else — because the load ends up dumped on empty land or by a roadside instead.
That matters to you, not just to them. If a hired crew dumps your load illegally, the fine can land on you, the person who hired them. Leaving bulky items in the wrong place carries a fine of AED 500, and dumping fines for individuals run up to AED 5,000. So ask any crew, including us, where your waste goes. If they cannot answer clearly, do not book them.
Questions people ask us
How much does it cost to remove a sofa in Dubai?
A single sofa counts as a single item, and single-item collection in Dubai usually costs AED 100–150. The price sits at the lower end when the sofa is at ground level or close to a lift, and at the higher end when the crew carries it down several floors of stairs.
How much does a full apartment clear-out cost in Dubai?
Most apartment clear-outs price as furniture removal or as one truck load: AED 150–600 for the furniture, or AED 200–300 for a standard one-truck load. Bigger jobs — several rooms, wardrobes to dismantle, no lift — run higher. Send photos of every room and the price is fixed in writing before we arrive.
Is a skip cheaper than hiring a crew?
For a one-off clear-out, usually not. The smallest skip runs AED 400–620, and you load it yourself; a standard one-truck crew load is AED 200–300 with the loading included. A skip earns its money on renovations that produce waste over several days, where a crew would mean repeat trips.
Is junk removal in Dubai ever free?
Yes. Dubai Municipality collects bulky furniture and appliances free when you book on WhatsApp 800900 — items at ground level, collections 5–11am except Saturdays, wait around three days. Charities take usable furniture free too. Broken items, upstairs pickups and debris are not covered by either free route.
Why will companies not give an exact price online?
Because the real price depends on things a website cannot see: how much there is, stairs or a lift, dismantling, and how far items are carried. An exact price needs photos. Send them on WhatsApp and the number comes back fixed, in writing, before anyone sets off.
Can a price change on the day of collection?
It should not. A photo-based fixed quote already covers the volume, the access and the dismantling shown in your pictures. The only fair reason for a change is a load that differs from the photos — extra items, say — agreed in the chat before the crew starts, never after loading.
What does the price include?
Your fixed price covers the whole job: the crew, the truck, the loading, the carrying, and disposal at approved facilities. There is no separate call-out fee and no per-item pricing at the door. If the load on site matches your photos, the number you approved is the number you pay.
